Preparing for the labs

Syllabi for each lab are made up of Physiology standard data and a practical course handout. Handouts can be downloaded in PDF format from the webpage of the department. The practical course handouts are updated from year to year, therefore handouts from previous years are not suitable. For downloading the handouts please use the user name and the password you will be given from us during the first lecture.

Students are expected to prepare themselves for each lab. This includes the study of lab protocols along with the respective theoretical background. Appropriate preparation for labs is of utmost importance as the labs will only fulfill their purpose if students understand the theory behind the experiments carried out. Theoretical knowledge can be gained from the lectures and from the compulsory literature listed further on. Preparing for the labs often requires studying of the corresponding theoretical parts, personally.
